For years Alexis’s talents in sewing and crocheting have brought warmth to many patients. She also played a major part in the creation of the “Hats and Hearts” program.
Known as “the dynamic duo” to nurses on the oncology infusion floor, the Hagens have been volunteering at the clinical cancer center for over ten years.
Caroline worked as an intern for UNC Lineberger’s Patient and Family Resource Center in the summer of 2008 and will continue to work in the center during the 2008-2009 school year.
