A cancer diagnostic test developed by a group of researchers, including Charles Perou, PhD, has been found to accurately predict whether patients with breast cancer actually need chemotherapy – or if hormone therapy alone can put them on a path towards remission.

UNC Lineberger members will share their latest research findings and clinical insights during the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s annual meeting in Chicago, taking place May 30 – June 3.

Perou received his honor at the conferment ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden.
