RN and Allied Health Lecture: Pesticide Protective Behavior in Agriculture – A Cancer Prevention Strategy

NC

Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with AnnMarie Walton, PhD, MPH, RN, OCN, CHES. Research indicates that individuals in the agricultural industry who come in to contact with certain pesticides have an increased risk of developing leukemia and other cancers. This lecture will review a study done to understand which pesticide protective behaviors, mandated to be taught by the Worker Protection Standard, farmworkers actually practice. It will also provide insights into clinical considerations in caring for this patient population. RN and Allied Health lectures offer CNE and ASRT continuing education credit for eligible participants. We invite anyone interested to view our lectures. Lectures are viewable online via GoToWebinar or by participating in the lecture at one of our designated viewing sites. Please contact us for more information about GoToWebinar registration or to be connected with a site coordinator near you.
