Bladder cancer now ranks 4th in incidence in men and 9th in incidence for women and involves the most costly lifetime treatments per patient. It also ranks near the bottom for NIH funding of major adult cancers. BCAN was founded in 2005 and is the only national advocacy organization devoted to advancing bladder cancer research, education, awareness and patient support.
