Held the first Saturday in May across the country, the walk encourages BCAN supporters, survivors, family and friends, and medical professionals to join in events held throughout the country to increase bladder cancer awareness and raise funds for our education and research programs.

Bladder cancer is the 6th most commonly diagnosed cancer in the US. It affects both men and women of all ages and races, although men are 4 times more likely to be diagnosed. Women, however, have higher mortality rates due to delayed diagnosis.

Through innovative programs such as the Bladder Cancer Think Tank – the only scientific symposium dedicated solely to bladder cancer – BCAN is helping to change these odds. For more information, please visit www.bcan.org.
