Tom Shea, MD, UNC Lineberger’s associate director for outreach and director of the UNC Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Programs, was a co-author on a study that examined reduced-intensity allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation for patients between the ages of 60 and 74 years with acute myeloid leukemia in first complete remission. The study was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
