A team of researchers from UNC, led by Trevor Jolly, MD have been published in The Oncologist. Their study, presented in a paper titled “Geriatric Assessment-Identified Deficits in Older Cancer Patients With Normal Performance Status,” concluded that older cancer patients could greatly benefit from geriatric assessments, even if their performance status was rated functionally normal by the KPS.
