Reeve awarded John Ware and Alvin Tarlov Career Achievement Prize in Patient-Reported Outcomes Measures

Bryce Reeve, PhD, a UNC Lineberger member and associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, is the 2015 recipient of the John Ware and Alvin Tarlov Career Achievement Prize, a major international award in Patient-Reported Outcomes Measures. Dr. Reeve was recognized for his "seminal contributions to the field of PROMs" and his "tireless training of the next generation of researchers" in that area of study.

Der pulls in two grants for pancreatic cancer research

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and the American Association for Cancer Research announced April 16 that UNC Lineberger's Channing Der, PhD, and two co-principal investigators were chosen to receive a $1 million grant for pancreatic cancer research. Earlier this year, Der was also announced as the recipient of a grant from The Lustgarten Foundation, the nation’s largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research.
