The support you need, when you need it most
UNC Lineberger’s Comprehensive Cancer Support program (CCSP) is a multidisciplinary program dedicated to helping patients, caregivers and families with cancer treatment, recovery and survivorship. Our home base is the on the first floor of the N.C. Cancer Hospital, the Patient and Family Resource Center (PFRC). Services include multiple programs and services including: counseling and mental health services, education, integrative medicine, supportive care, exercise and nutrition support, survivorship programs, and more. Many cancer patients describe diagnosis, treatment and survivorship as a journey - sometimes one that comes with confusing maps and directions or without signposts and guidebooks. That's why the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the N.C. Cancer Hospital created the Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP).
Our mission is to offer outstanding clinical and educational programs for cancer patients and their caregivers, as well as a world-class training and research site for health care professionals who work with cancer patients. We aim to provide compassionate and effective care for all North Carolina cancer patients and their families. CCSP partners with many communities across North Carolina and is involved in multiple community outreach efforts. Please check with us and browse the quarterly support calendar and resource guide to find some of the resources in your community.
